The Teenage Rebellion and its influence on Modern Australia's Fashion.
The Teenage Rebellion of the 1950's emerged in Australia’s popular culture and the decades to follow, through the mediums of film and fashion, therefore influencing Australia’s Modern identity through fashion. The Teenage rebellion was influenced by younger generations yearning for greater freedom and wanted to create their own identity, which was greatly influenced by Rock ‘n’ Roll music. This style of music not only influenced their attitude towards authority but also broadened their fashion styles and helped teenagers to create a bolder independence. Because of these events, today’s fashion styles are still greatly influenced by the past styles that were explored during the Teenage Rebellion.
